Boho Puffs

In my effort to be more productive, I grabbed some scraps for a TV project.

I have a bag of these sample bits that I picked up at Thai Silks in CA several years ago because they had potential written all over them. Lots of burn-out velvets and silks.

But besides a snippet here and there, they have pretty much stayed in the bag. When in doubt, make puffs, I always say. I love the wacky textures and color combos.

Don't know what I'll do with them, but maybe they are a beginning of a big hippie piece.

"when in doubt, make puffs" - I love that! I see lots of boobies. Guess that good fit with a hippy themed work.

Well I didn't see the boobies myself, but that sure works with the theme. LOL

These are fab - how do you make them?

Thanks--I kind of wing it when I make them. I might cut out 2 rough circles and hand stitch them together with 6 strands of embroidery thread. I might add a bit of another fabric on top of one. Leave an opening and stuff. Or I cut a larger circle, run a basting thread around the edge, gather it up and stuff it, like making a yo-yo. Then I add smaller circle on top to cover the opening and hand stitch it down.
