Bauble Break

Sometimes I crave total silence, and this was one of those times. Living with a husband, 2 teenage boys, and a demanding bulldog, I often feel like I never have a solid chunk of time to focus on what I want to do. So for my birthday this year, I gave myself a blissful retreat--alone-- to the beach.

For 3 nights I painted and read, took walks and stitched.

A perfect place to work on simple baubles:

Ahh yes, quiet time, I guard my time alone carefully, in this noisey world we need those moments to reflect. ps I love the "simple baubbles"

your baubles are awesome...they remind me of little sea creatures... the last one pictured is definitely a sand dollar

that's funny--I never thought of them as sea creatures at all, but maybe that's why I like to work on them at the beach.

I love your baubles...what a great idea to make trips, I will have remember that next trip to Dubbo (because I tend to do *nothing*).

I love quiet time too. Living with a housefull of boys most of the time, I dont get much of it, so when I do.... I love it and get into all my arty things, sometimes play music, but mostly enjoy the quiet!

Happy Birthday! That is a beautiful photo of the coast. I, too, thought immediately of sand dollars and sea urchins when I saw your "baubles."
